Job summary

Itape seeks a Manufacturing Manager I for the Protective Packaging division in the United States. The role leads daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met, and drives continuous improvement across the site.

The position requires a B.S. in mechanical or related engineering and 5+ years of maintenance supervision/management experience, with strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or other technical discipline preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance supervisor or manager role.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and web-based technologies.
• Demonstrated manufacturing project management and continuous improvement skills (lean six sigma and IPS).
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including active listening.
• Ability to manage heavy workload in a busy manufacturing environment and complete projects on time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and waste reduction initiatives.
• Drive IPS performance metrics and certification objectives.
• Develop employee commitment and ownership for site improvements.
• Coordinate resources to balance labor and capital with budgets and maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with other departments and external contacts to align site goals.
• Assist in annual performance planning for the site.

Education

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or other (applicable) technical discipline preferred
