Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Protective Intelligence & Threat Analyst to identify, assess, and communicate physical security threats to personnel, operations, and assets. You will employ OSINT, investigative tools, and analytical methods to deliver clear, actionable risk assessments and protective recommendations.

The role supports POI investigations, behavioral threat assessment, and risk management for executives and events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in protective intelligence, threat investigations, or related fields.
• Strong judgment, ability to assess incomplete information and communicate risk.
• Experience with OSINT processes and protective methodologies (ATAP).

Responsibilities

• Identify and investigate physical threats to OpenAI personnel, facilities and assets.
• Conduct POI and behavioral threat investigations and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
• Develop concise intelligence products and briefings for senior leaders and protective teams.
• Assess threats related to executive travel, events, and meetings.
• Provide timely intelligence support to Executive Protection and Corporate Security.
• Research geopolitical and emerging developments that may create physical security risks.
• Prepare and disseminate clear threat briefings and protective recommendations.
• Manage OSINT data collections for better discovery and dissemination.
• Leverage analytics tools to improve threat detection and the intelligence cycle.
• Develop and improve protective intelligence methodologies and procedures.
• Foster relationships across Corporate Security and internal/external partners.
