AECOM is seeking a Protection and Controls Engineer to support its Grid Modernization initiatives within the Energy business line. The role is remote within the U.S. or hybrid from any U.S.

office, focusing on protection, relays, and control system design across transmission and distribution projects. Ideal candidates have a strong background in electrical engineering design, power systems analysis, and experience with FERC/NERC requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• 6 years of relevant protection and controls experience in electrical engineering.
• Professional Engineering licensure preferred.
• 8+ years of experience with 2+ years as a project lead.
• Knowledge of FERC and NERC requirements, IEC61850 familiarity.

Responsabilidades

• Lead electrical engineering design work on assigned projects.
• Mentor other electrical engineers in High Voltage/Power team.
• Develop design schedules and budgets with Project Engineer/Project Manager.
• Perform power system studies and protection settings coordination.
• Generate basis of design documentation for protection settings and relay configurations.
• Support projects during construction, start-up, and commissioning.
• Review peers' engineering work and attend client meetings.
