Job summary

Volta Services is looking for a Protection and Control Technician responsible for delivering high-quality testing and verification services for utility and industrial-scale power systems. The technician will support protection and control maintenance across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.

The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree in electrical technology and a commitment to safety and human performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate’s degree or 1-3 years field experience in substation protection and controls.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems and protection concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical testing to verify installation and integration.
• Support system energization and turnover.
• Validate protection system operation and resolve misconfigurations.
