ROI - Workforce as a Service (WaaS) is seeking a P&C Designer II based in Houston, TX, to support protection and control design for medium- and high-voltage projects. The role involves drafting supervision, developing diagrams, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The candidate should have at least four years of electrical design experience, substation exposure, and proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation. A two-year degree or equivalent is required, with a focus on power systems.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of electrical system design experience.
• Electrical substation experience required.
• Ability to respond to ad hoc tasks and shifting priorities.
• Basic understanding of power system protection and control systems.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Apply P&C design principles to assigned tasks.
• Provide guidance and direction to drafting personnel.
• Develop three-line diagrams and AC/DC schematics.
• Calculate, verify, and specify materials.
• Adapt standard designs to project requirements.
• Apply industry design practices and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Report progress and issues to the supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
