Job summary

ROI - Workforce as a Service (WaaS) is seeking a senior P&C Designer III in Houston to lead protection and control design for medium- and high-voltage infrastructure. You will supervise drafting teams and deliver high-quality schematics and diagrams for complex projects.

The candidate should have 8+ years of electrical design experience, substations exposure, and proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation; a two-year degree or equivalent is required, along with strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of electrical system design experience.
• Electrical substation experience required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation; knowledge of both is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced P&C design principles to assigned tasks.
• Provide guidance, direction, and oversight to drafting personnel.
• Develop three line diagrams and detailed AC/DC schematic diagrams, including current circuits, potential circuits, protective relaying, control systems, and alarm systems.
• Calculate, quantify, specify, and verify material quality.
• Adapt standard designs to meet project-specific requirements.
• Apply common industry practices and design standards.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Report progress and issues to the team supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
