Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electrical engineering technology, electronic technology, or related field (or equivalent education/experience).
• Must be able to pass Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Color vision ability to discriminate colors is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in acceptance and installation tests on protection, control, and measurement devices and equipment.
• Test protection & control devices and equipment periodically and as required.
• Calibrate protection & control devices and equipment on schedule.
• Assist with trouble diagnosis and corrective actions to repair and prevent recurrence.
• Operate computer devices to test, calibrate, and retrieve data from protection & control devices.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and operation of power line carriers, SCADA, and related communications equipment.
• Perform switching under direct supervision of qualified personnel.
• Maintain records, reports, and drawings as required.
• Adhere to safety rules, regulations, and NERC requirements.
