Job summary

Responsibilities include designing protection systems and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical and performing electrical studies to ensure a safe, reliable power grid. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in AAS CAD or engineering technology or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of relevant drafting experience OR 6 years without a degree.
• Familiar with drafting symbols and color differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise and maintain engineering drawings and sketches.
• Assist in designing protection systems to detect and isolate faults.
• Read and interpret vendors' prints and equipment instructions for use in design.
• Collaborate with engineers and field staff during testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office.
