Job summary

Affordable Dentures & Implants in Missouri is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team and support denture procedures, implants, oral surgery, and removable prosthetics. You’ll work closely with experienced dentists and lab professionals to deliver high-quality tooth replacement solutions while growing your clinical skills in a fast-paced practice.

The role emphasizes patient care, chairside assistance, accurate documentation, infection control, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Dental Assistant and X-ray certification as required by state.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chairside support and create a welcoming patient experience from check-in through treatment.
• Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials before each patient appointment.
• Assist dentists during denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments.
• Take and assist with alginate denture impressions, select appropriate trays, and prepare wax bites under dentist direction.
• Assist with denture insertions, adjustments, relines, repairs, and other expanded duties where permitted by state law.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post-operative care, home care instructions, and financial packages.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state certification requirements.
• Maintain infection prevention and sterilization standards by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and operatories.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
• Support daily office operations and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Travel occasionally for training and continuing education opportunities as needed.
• Perform additional duties to support patient care and office success.
