Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to provide total prosthetic and orthotic patient management and assist the Director with clinical leadership and departmental efficiency.

Responsibilities include evaluating and fitting devices, delivering orthoses and prostheses, training residents and staff, documenting notes promptly, coordinating with physicians and case managers, and maintaining inventory and QA processes to support high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics required; older credentials may qualify via alternate pathways.
• Prosthetist/Orthotist certification and licensure as applicable.
• Strong communication and team collaboration with physicians, therapists and staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, measures/casts/scans and records patient limb/torsion details.
• Delivers orthoses/prostheses with instructions and follow-up.
• Fabricates devices and supervises residents and technicians.
• Maintains patient records, notes and QA documentation.
• Coordinates with physicians for required documents and insurance.
• Trains and lectures staff and serves as consultant to clinicians.
• Ensures inventory control and accurate billing handoffs.
