Job summary

Tennessee Urology Associates is seeking an Oncology Nurse Navigator to enhance the cancer care journey for prostate cancer patients, from screening to survivorship. You will partner with the Urologist and care team to deliver a seamless patient experience.

Responsibilities include coordinating tests, education, referrals, and helping patients access trials and new technologies. A healthcare background, strong communication, and HIPAA proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred, unless MD.
• RN license is required for MD applicants.
• Experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for prostate cancer patients and families.
• Assess clinical, emotional, spiritual, psychosocial, and financial needs.
• Assist scheduling tests, procedures, and treatments.
• Help develop feasible treatment plans with the Urologist.
• Educate patients on disease, treatments, side effects, and warning signs.
• Coordinate care with multiple providers and services.
• Refer patients to nutritionists, social workers, and financial counselors.
• Support patients in accessing clinical trials and new technologies.
• Ensure timely communication of results and follow-up.
