Job summary

Tennessee Urology in Knoxville seeks an Oncology Nurse Navigator to guide Prostate Cancer patients through the care continuum, from screening to survivorship, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will assess patient needs, help schedule tests and treatments, educate patients and families, and coordinate referrals to supportive services and trials across the care team. Travel to regional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field preferred; MD required otherwise.
• Current and active RN license in MD.
• Experience in medical/healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for prostate cancer patients, their families, the Urologist, and care providers.
• Assess clinical, emotional, spiritual, psychosocial, financial, and other patient needs and communicate concerns.
• Assist patients with scheduling tests, procedures, appointments, and treatments.
• Help develop treatment plans in consultation with the Urologist.
• Educate patients/families on disease, treatments, side effects, and signs/symptoms.
• Refer to supportive care services and clinical trials as appropriate.
• Coordinate discharge planning and participate in multidisciplinary conferences.
