Job summary

United Urology Group is seeking an Oncology Nurse Navigator to guide prostate cancer patients through screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. You will support the physician and staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience with a focus on access to care and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities include coordinating tests and appointments, assessing needs, educating patients, and helping overcome barriers to care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field preferred.
• MD Only: RN license active in MD.
• Experience working in a medical/healthcare setting preferred.
• Urology experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for prostate cancer patients and families.
• Assess clinical, emotional, spiritual, psychosocial, financial, and other patient needs and communicate concerns to the Urologist.
• Assist in scheduling tests, procedures, appointments, and treatments.
• Help develop an appropriate treatment plan with the Urologist that is understandable for the patient.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatments, side effects, and signs to report.
