Qualifications

Hold a Vocational Certificate or Permit endorsed for Culinary Arts, Food Preparation or Food Service.
Bachelor’s Degree required or; Hold a bachelor’s degree AND two years of related work experience in the area for which licensure is requested; OR
Associate Degree in related area AND two years of related work experience in the area for which licensure is requested.
Must complete WV Department of Education requirements to obtain and maintain a West Virginia teaching license.

Responsibilities

To implement, evaluate and improve the program of study in culinary arts and food service.
To foster a classroom climate conducive to learning and to supervise a school-based catering enterprise.
To ensure safety, sanitation and compliance with health regulations in the classroom and kitchen.
