Job summary

Howard University is seeking a Prospect Research Specialist to drive prospect identification, research, and profiling to support annual and long-term fundraising goals. You will deliver tailored donor profiles and briefing reports to gift officers and portfolio managers, ensuring timely updates and data integrity in the DAR system.

You will apply wealth screening, predictive analytics, and market trends to optimize portfolio assignments and inform outreach strategies, working collaboratively

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience in a prospect research position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management experience; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Identify, track, segment, and analyze donor records and relationships to meet fundraising objectives.
• Create prospect briefings and reports using research and screening tools.
• Leverage analytics, wealth screening, data mining and benchmarking to inform portfolio audits and balancing.
• Maintain current donor data in Raiser's Edge and coordinate with gift officers and DAR leadership.
• Collaborate with campus partners and participate in prospect strategy meetings to update portfolios and donor records.
