Job summary

Partners In Health is seeking a Development Associate, Prospect Research to identify and analyze potential major donors. You will conduct in-depth research on individuals, corporations, and foundations and produce materials to support cultivation and solicitation strategies.

The role reports to the Manager of Prospect Research and may be based in Boston or work remotely within the U.S. Hybrid work is supported. A bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of fundraising experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; 1–3 years fundraising/development experience preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to locate and interpret biographic and financial information from diverse sources.
• Experience with MS Office and online databases; familiarity with prospect research tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed research using public, proprietary, and other sources; maintains Salesforce data for development staff.
• Produces research documents with wealth estimates and capacity ratings to guide decisions.
• Executes prospect acquisition strategies to identify new donors for ongoing fundraising.
• Develops collaborative relationships with development staff and manages special projects for fundraising teams.
• Supports due diligence and risk assessment for Gift Acceptance Committee; monitors policy updates.
• Upholds APRA professional standards.
