Job summary

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains is seeking a donor research professional to support the Major Gifts team by identifying high net worth prospects, developing donor profiles, and compiling research for engagement and fundraising strategy.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Raiser's Edge NXT, and related technology platforms.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and tracking information in a database.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to synthesize information into concise donor profiles, briefings, and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Remain current on prospect research best practices and resources.
  • Support prospect screening initiatives and verify screening results.
  • Safeguard confidentiality of constituent information per guidelines.

What You'll Do:

Research Donor Prospects: You’re responsible for identifying potential prospects, researching pertinent information, and updating biographical/financial information on donors to enable PPRM to reach its fundraising goals. In addition, you’ll turn your research into information that others can access and use. Included in your responsibilities, you will:

  • Research high net worth individual prospects and produce information regarding their philanthropic interests and giving capacity.
  • Locate sources of corporate, foundation, and other organization support to match PPRM programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare biographical profiles, research reports, and briefings for use by PPRM Major Gifts team.
  • Compile event donor Look Books to guide ELT staff members at PPRM events.
  • Remain current and fully informed on prospect research best practices and available resources in the field.
  • Support prospect screening initiatives and verify screening results.
  • Always safeguard the confidentiality of constituent information by adhering to ethical and confidentiality guidelines of PPRM and the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Maintain Donor Profiles: In addition to researching new donor prospects, you will ensure profiles for current donors and non-gift information is accurately captured and maintained in our donor profiles. You take pride and satisfaction in ensuring data is complete, accurate, and thorough – and that we stay abreast of the information we need to lead an outstanding fundraising effort. You will:

  • Update and maintain non-gift information on prospects and donors in the database including relevant newspaper, journal articles and internal databases.
  • Enter contact and other pertinent biographical and financial information on prospects.
  • Manage and maintain prospect research information for current and prospective major donors.

Support Major Gifts Team: PPRM’s Development team is a collaborative team that contributes to shared goals and projects on a regular basis. You add essential skills and capacity that help ensure our collective goals are met. You will:

  • Assist Major Gift Officer’s with NXT donor data entry including- proposals and actions.
  • Search for correct donor contact information.
  • Because Development is a relationship-based field, staff will be in office together one day a week (Tuesdays).

Salary Range: $27.87 - $35.31/hour
*Although our full pay range is included above, the budgeted hiring range for new hires is $27.89 - $ 31.59 /hour and based on related professional experience

Schedule: 37.5 hours/week; Benefits Eligible

Remote: 80%; On-Site: 20%; In office at least one day a week (Tuesdays).

Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm
