Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking candidates to support propulsion test facilities, including construction, operation, and maintenance of test stands. You will fabricate and route pressurization tubing, integrate test articles, and ensure proper checkout and documentation of procedures.

The role requires hands-on work with instrumentation, wiring, and safety-critical hardware, with potential shift hours during campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Experience in propulsion facility/system or launch vehicle operation, integration, or maintenance.
  • 1-3 years of rocket engine test facility support, testing rocket or jet engines, or closely related applications.
  • Experience with pneumatic systems, propellant loading and off-loading systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with test, flight and safety critical hardware.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings – PIDs, fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Test facility construction, operation and maintenance.
  • Fabrication and routing of pressurization and propellant tubing.
  • Test article integration and checkout.
  • Reviewing, editing and following Test Procedures.
  • Operation of test facility systems.
  • Installation and checkout of wire harnesses and instrumentation.
  • General trouble shooting of instrumentation, valves, leaks, etc.
  • Working with engineers on design concepts/improvements and development tests.
  • Planning and communicating assembly steps for complex mechanical installations.
  • Providing design feedback on the test stand and test article(s).
  • Flexibility to support testing campaigns as required – may involve shifts or extended hours.
