Job summary

Virgin Galactic seeks a Lead, Propulsion Test to guide the Spaceship Propulsion team in developing and maintaining rocket-system test platforms. You will own test-system implementations, ensure safety protocols, and coordinate across engineering and operations to meet project goals.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on propulsion/test experience, strong leadership, and ability to manage complex test data and instrumentation in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of college or equivalent work+education
• Graduated from a technical college or apprenticeship or on-the-job training
• Minimum 5+ years in line maintenance, test site operations, and fabrication related to propulsion/test systems

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of test systems and structures
• Direct technicians to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repairs of rocket-system test platforms
• Oversee propulsion system components, electrical and data-recording equipment
• Ensure safety regulations, conduct risk assessments and implement PPE
• Complete and sign work records for performed tasks
• Coach and guide team to drive projects to completion
• Maintain FOD awareness and regulatory compliance
