Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a Propulsion Test Engineer to develop and execute test campaigns for mission-critical air vehicle propulsion systems and micro-turbojets. You’ll own test setups, write Python software on Linux, and act as Test Director during hot-fire runs to ensure safety and data integrity.

Requires 3+ years of propulsion testing experience, a relevant engineering degree, and eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on propulsion testing, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test setups, or engine test cell operations.
• Direct, hands-on experience with micro-turbojet engine testing.
• Experience as Test Director or lead test engineer during live engine runs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Test Director during engine and micro-turbojet hot-fire runs, managing test stand operations.
• Design, build, and maintain propulsion test hardware infrastructure.
• Write automated Python test software on Linux/Unix to control engine profiles.
• Interface with ECUs and CAN bus networks for data logging.
• Analyze telemetry and generate detailed test reports.
