Wild West Systems, Inc. is seeking a Propulsion Engineer, Test, to design, build, and support propulsion test setups in Leander, TX. You will develop characterization plans, oversee static tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate hardware and software solutions for safe, reliable propulsion campaigns.

The role requires CAD prowess, instrumentation knowledge, and hands-on fixture design, with ITAR considerations of U.S. export regulations.

Formación

• Proficient in CAD modeling (SolidWorks/Onshape or equivalent).
• Experience with instrumentation, sensors, and DAQ systems.
• Electrical systems and wiring knowledge.
• Experience designing test fixtures and mechanical test rigs.
• Machine shop experience a plus.
• ITAR compliance experience or awareness.

Responsabilidades

• Design and administer ballistic test setups, fixtures, and test rigs.
• CAD and mechanical design.
• Characterization and static test plans.
• Design, configure, and operate DAQ systems, instrumentation, and sensors integrations.
• Conduct rocket static thrust stand testing and propulsion test campaigns.
• Data reduction, analysis, and post-test reporting.
• Support hardware manufacturing, assembly, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain work instructions, safety procedures, and technical documentation.
• Support flight tests and ground tests, diagnose performance issues, and iterate quickly.
