Job summary

Castelion seeks an R&D Technician to support hands-on solid rocket motor (SRM) manufacturing and testing at the development site. You will work with engineers to execute propellant processing, motor assembly, test setup, and development tests for hypersonic programs, including Blackbeard.

Requires a high school diploma and 3+ years in aerospace or high-hazard environments. You must follow safety protocols, document results, and maintain equipment readiness in a fast-paced lab.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate/technical training preferred.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, testing, or operations in aerospace/defense/high-hazard environments.
• Experience with energetic materials, hazardous chemicals, or high-consequence processes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute propellant manufacturing and SRM assembly tasks per work instructions.
• Support test setup, instrumentation installation, and development tests under engineers.
• Operate and maintain manufacturing/test equipment and collect data.
• Follow energetic materials handling and safety protocols; contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Collaborate with engineers and operations to meet schedule and quality targets.
