Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks a Propulsion Mechanical Engineer to design, build, and test propulsion hardware from concept to high-volume production. You will work across structural, thermal, and packaging hardware, applying first-principles analysis and DFMA to deliver lightweight, cost-effective solutions for space-grade systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test propulsion mechanical hardware through prototyping to high-volume production.
  • Solve mechanical, thermal, structural, and fluid problems using first-principles analysis.
  • Produce design documentation: drawings, tolerance analyses, structural and thermal analyses, and test plans.
  • Plan and execute mechanical tests and environmental testing to validate models.
  • Support cross-functional integration with systems, avionics, thermal, and satellite structures.
