Job summary

Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking a Third Operator to join our team at the Magna, Utah facility. You will perform manual manufacturing tasks on solid fuel rocket motors for government and commercial customers, including tooling, assembly, disassembly, and propellant handling, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires reading and following written instructions, basic math, and teamwork to support safety, quality, cost, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (education will be verified).
• 1–2 years (or more) of manufacturing (product assembly) experience.
• Ability to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license
• Ability to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual hands-on activities related to assembling solid fuel rocket motors.
• Handle tooling/assembly/disassembly, case surface preparation, final product assembly, and propellant handling.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and facilities; follow written instructions accurately.
• Contribute to safety, quality, cost, and scheduling by working as a team.
