Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Associate, Manufacturing Engineer at the Orange, VA site. This role focuses on modernizing production facilities, improving processes, and supporting energetic assembly in a center of excellence for propulsion and energetics.

You will work under supervision, develop detailed instructions and analyses, and travel up to 5% as needed while contributing to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a master's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, industrial engineering or related field, or completed within the last 12 months.
• Experience interpreting technical requirements from drawings and specifications.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support modernization and automation of production facilities; SPC monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain detailed process instructions, PFMEAs, MBOMs, PHAs and JSAs.
• Demonstrate process ownership and drive improvements to increase efficiency and safety compliance.
• Support tooling development, design reviews, and safety reviews.
• Assist energetic assembly and manufacturing operations.
