Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer for the Orange, VA site. This role supports modernization and tooling improvements in solid rocket motor propulsion and energetics development.

You will aid in process documentation, safety analyses, and training shop floor personnel. The position requires a foundational engineering background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to obtain US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior manufacturing engineering experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior manufacturing engineering experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior manufacturing engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Support modernization/automation of processes and tooling improvements.
• Assist in process, tooling, and safety reviews.
• Participate in design reviews and review drawings for product and tooling.
• Monitor manufacturing activities for safety and quality compliance; implement process improvements.
