Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer for the Orange, VA site. This role supports propulsion manufacturing, process improvements, and tooling modernization in a center of excellence for solid rocket motor propulsion.

You will work under supervision, participate in design and safety reviews, review drawings with cross-functional teams, and help train shop-floor personnel. Travel up to 10% and eligibility for a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Graduate Degree with 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Support modernization/automation of processes and tooling improvements.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (PHA/Process flow diagrams/control plans).
• Participate in process, tooling, and safety reviews.
• Review applicable drawings (product and tooling) and interface with customers/vendors.
• Develop and provide training to shop floor personnel on tooling/equipment/processes.
• Monitor manufacturing activities for safety and quality; implement process improvements.
• Travel up to 10%.
