Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks a Manufacturing Engineer – Propulsion & Machinery Installation Planning to define complex installation steps for main propulsion equipment aboard autonomous surface vessels. You will translate design intent into repeatable procedures for production teams, ensuring precise alignment and safe execution.

The role collaborates with structural, electrical, piping, and HVAC planning to ensure foundations and interfaces are ready at the correct stages.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with marine propulsion/machinery or equivalent planning background.
Ability to read machinery arrangements, vendor manuals, shaft calculations, and 3D models.
Strong written communication skills to produce clear work instructions with defined sequence and tolerance.

Responsibilities

Translate machinery arrangements into step-by-step installation work instructions.
Define installation sequence relative to hull construction and erection milestones.
Coordinate with structural, electrical, piping, and HVAC planning to ensure readiness of foundations and interfacing systems.
Define foundation chocking, grouting, bolt torque/sequence requirements and alignment procedures.
Plan anchor handling and ramp system installation sequencing and validation across hull stages.
Define inspection hold points and acceptance criteria for propulsion, anchor, and ramp systems.
