Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks an Engineering Technician B in Orange, VA, for 1st shift with a temporary second shift Aug–Dec 2026. The role focuses on mixing chemicals, testing, data collection, and assembly of solid rocket components at a Culpeper-area site.

Strong teamwork and strict safety practices are essential. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with manufacturing experience and/or 0–2 years post-secondary education; a valid driver’s license is also needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior manufacturing experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 0-2 years prior manufacturing experience.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tests, mix/cast chemicals and energetics, collect data, and operate equipment per procedures.
• Conduct laboratory procedures for chemical analysis using wet chemistry or instruments; perform mechanical, environmental, and propellant tests.
• Apply results for quality control, failure analysis, and understanding engineering developments.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
