Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA, seeks an AeonR Assembly Engineer to own the aeonR integrated assembly from design release to shipment and develop build processes that meet production targets.

You will collaborate with propulsion, manufacturing, and software teams to define specs, resolve build issues, and drive ERP/MES/QMS initiatives to enable high-quality, efficient vehicle manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and ability to write detailed work instructions.
• Ability to investigate, resolve and screen hardware non-conformances.
• Ability to work with and train technicians.
• Ability to work with vendors to get parts made quickly and reliably.
• Familiarity with Additive Manufacturing, Subtractive Manufacturing and precision inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Own the AeonR integrated assembly from design release to integration to shipment.
• Develop processes and specs that directly impact the production rate of AeonR engines.
• Support production to deliver engines by resolving build issues and incorporating technician feedback.
• Support work center development by considering assembly operations, tooling, and capital equipment requirements, plus rate targets.
• Author test procedures and act as test conductor to verify hardware health and build integrity.
• Assist with developing business tools and ERP/MES/QMS solutions for manufacturing.
