Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Product Development Engineer for Internal Propulsion Thermal Systems. This hybrid role focuses on design, development, release, and validation of ICE components within the Nano V6 Powerpack team, delivering milestones from concept to production.

You will lead design releases, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, perform CAD studies, DFMEA/PPAP, and contribute to cost and quality improvements while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of internal combustion engine component and system D&R experience.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with GD&T, DFMEA and PV/DV planning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and release ICE subsystem and components per program requirements.
• Lead or support resolution of design, manufacturing, quality and launch issues.
• Create, complete, and approve DVPs and oversee testing for validation.
• Support program meetings and lead drawing release and changes.
• Coordinate with calibration, suppliers and manufacturing plants.
• Develop and maintain CP Mt documents and quality records.
