Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Manufacturing Process Development Operations Engineer for New Product Programs in a hybrid role based in Redford, MI. You will lead development of new manufacturing technologies for EV propulsion systems and organize cross-functional teams across PD, GME and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Industrial/Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong leadership, motivation and team-building skills.
• Exceptional project management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Adept with Digital 3D/Simulation Tools and MS Office.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma and data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PD and GME Skill Teams to identify and prioritize manufacturing technology initiatives.
• Establish and cascade the Manufacturing Technology Development Roadmaps for EV Core areas.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop and prototype tooling and equipment.
• Adhere to established development procedures and apply system engineering and Six Sigma methods.
• Develop facility floor space and layout requirements and lead installation of prototype tooling.
• Interface with suppliers and unions for testing and prove-out of tooling and equipment.
• Coordinate project activities and travel to complete tasks across on-site and off-site locations.
• Manage portfolio administration including budgets, quotes, POs and invoicing.
• Prepare technical and strategic packages for leadership review and IP protection.
• Create core technology documentation for knowledge transfer to GME.
