Job summary

Insitu, a Boeing company, seeks a Manager of Propulsion to lead engineering teams in development and sustainment of propulsion modules. You will oversee labs, guide strategy with product managers, and coordinate with production and supply chain to deliver on schedule and budget.

You will drive design for manufacture, reliability, and certification while managing capital equipment and multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an engineering group; including performance reviews and mentoring.
• Expert knowledge of propulsion and internal combustion engines.
• Knowledge of project management techniques: scheduling, budgets and performance.
• Knowledge of risk management in project/product management.
• Familiarity with design for manufacture/assembly, reliability and certification.
• Understanding of product lifecycle, design release and change management.

Responsibilities

• Team organization, technical leadership, and lab/tooling oversight for propulsion engineering.
• Lead product line planning, cost, schedule, and technical performance across projects.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Principal Engineers on propulsion strategy.
• Manage propulsion R&D lab and engineering analysis tools.
• Develop requirements for capital equipment and manage lifecycle of propulsion products.
• Engage with internal/external management and customer representatives; lead briefings.
