Job summary

Insitu, a Boeing subsidiary, seeks a Manager, Propulsion Engineering in the greater Seattle area to oversee the propulsion lifecycle and lead a team of engineers and technicians.

You will work with product managers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure cost, schedule and technical performance align with program goals. Hybrid work is supported; relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4+ years with a Master's.
• Strong propulsion and internal combustion engines knowledge.
• Experience leading an engineering group and coordinating teams.
• Proficiency in DFMA, reliability concepts and change management.

Responsibilities

• Team organization, technical leadership, process leadership for propulsion engineering, and managing engineers, PMs and technicians.
• Product Line leadership including planning, cost, schedule and technical performance.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Principal Engineers to define propulsion strategy and roadmaps.
• Manage propulsion R&D lab and Engineering Analysis tools.
• Develop and manage requirements for capital equipment.
• Own full lifecycle management of propulsion products, including production and sustainment.
• Interact with internal/external management and customer representatives on projects and decisions.
• Lead briefings and technical meetings with stakeholders.
