Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Propulsion Engineer - Structural Analysis to support solid rocket motor development in Huntsville, AL. You will perform structural analyses, build models, and support test programs.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years (or 3+ years with a Master’s) and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Occasional travel is expected; relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in STEM with related experience.
• Experience with FEA modeling and structural analysis.
• Ability to present analytical results in oral and written formats.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analyses in support of solid rocket motor propulsion system design and verification activities.
• Create mathematical models to match system physics and select appropriate analysis methods.
• Assist in design of experiments to collect data for analyses.
• Interpret analytical results and develop recommendations for system improvement.
