Job summary

Venus Aerospace in Houston, TX is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to design, analyze, and develop propulsion hardware from components to engine systems. You will translate concepts into flight-ready hardware and work in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.

You will collaborate across design, testing, and supplier teams, generate CAD models, P&IDs, perform fluid analysis, and contribute to engine balances and sizing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with NX/SolidWorks and propulsion-related design is desired.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion piece parts and assemblies.
• Generate CAD models of components and engine systems.
• Perform fluid network modeling and design engine fluid systems.
• Create P&ID diagrams for engine systems.
• Develop and execute test plans and analyze results.
• Apply systems engineering to engine balances, sizing, and cycle efficiencies.
• Collaborate with vehicle engineering and procurement teams.
