Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Propulsion Engineer (Mechanical) to work on tactical propulsion hardware on-site at our Rocket Center location. The role emphasizes design, analysis, and testing of complex propulsion systems with senior guidance, and requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or a Master with 0+ years.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform design, analysis, fabrication and/or testing activities under guidance of senior engineers.
• Select analytical data from prior products; define problems and compute engineering characteristics.
• Evaluate designs with other technical groups and implement modifications.
• Document results of analysis, tests and design activities.
• Develop original ideas and elaborate preliminary concepts.
• Provide guidance to ensure technical objectives are met.
