Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Propulsion Engineer (Mechanical) to join our on-site team at the Rocket Center, WV facility. You will perform design, analysis, fabrication, and testing activities for complex propulsion components, under supervision of senior engineers.

Basic qualifications include a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 0+ years, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and 2+ years of experience, or a Master and 0+ years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support project objectives by performing design, analysis, fabrication, and/or test activities with the guidance of senior engineers.
• Select analytical data from previous products, define the problem, and compute engineering characteristics per specifications.
• Evaluate design with other technical groups and modify to achieve the ideal design.
• Document results of analysis, test, and design activities.
• Develop original ideas and elaborate preliminary design concepts.
• Provide guidance to ensure project/program objectives are met.
