Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Propulsion Engineer (Mechanical) to work on tactical propulsion systems at on-site locations such as the Rocket Center, WV. The role involves design analysis, testing, and documentation under experienced engineers, with opportunities to contribute to critical programs.

Basic qualifications include a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 0+ years, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required for Level 2.
• Master's degree preferred or accepted with relevant experience.
• Experience with statics, dynamics, fluids, thermodynamics a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform design, analysis, fabrication, and/or test activities under senior guidance.
• Select analytical data, define problems, and compute engineering characteristics.
• Evaluate designs with other groups and modify as needed.
• Document results of analysis, test, and design work.
• Develop ideas and elaborate preliminary design concepts.
• Provide guidance to meet technical objectives.
