Job summary

Ursa Major, based in Colorado, is seeking a development technician to join the energetic materials production team. You will handle full-scale propellant mixing, milling, and material handling, ensuring accurate weights and safe storage while supporting engineers and operations.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and problem solving, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements, maintain clean spaces, and comply with FOD standards.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused mindset and high quality standards.
• Attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Self-starter with teamwork mindset.
• Able to operate development control software with engineering assistance.

Responsibilities

• Full-scale propellant mixing: prepare materials and ensure correct weights before release.
• Milling: assemble and run mills, weight material bins accurately.
• Perform other duties such as AP prep, prototype assembly, and support of new production initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized space meeting FOD standards.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules with engineering support.
• Willing to work additional shifts to meet production schedules.
• Work from elevated platforms, climb ladders, and handle 35 lbs repeatedly.
• Be medically cleared to wear a respirator and operate a powered industrial vehicle.
