Ursa Major is seeking a front-line Dev Tech within its operations team to advance rocket motor development from early stages to production readiness. You will collaborate with engineering and production to enhance processes, provide practical feedback, and help ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to LRIP readiness, document knowledge for engineers, and support continuous improvement while training others and maintaining essential certifications as needed.

Formación

• Safety-minded with focus on quality and development processes.
• Attention to detail and situational awareness is required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Basic knowledge of milling, turning and machining operations.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and designs.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals and materials.
• Experience using metrology instruments and tools.
• Experience collaborating with engineering to improve processes and SOPs.
• Minimum 2+ years in manufacturing or development environment.
• Ability to wear a respirator.

Responsabilidades

• Support development technicians and engineers to move products from early development to LRIP.
• Assist with improving in-process work instructions and tooling
• Document knowledge with engineering during critical processes.
• Work on time-critical processes to ensure proper knowledge sharing.
• Provide guidance to Operations Technicians on LRIP products and problems.
• Provide basic training on development processes near LRIP state.
• Assist engineering with fabricating and installing custom tooling for machines and pre-production hardware.
• Lead 5S and continuous improvement activities.
• Complete transactions in computer production systems daily or weekly.
• Complete required certification training and maintain certifications.
