Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, California is offering a Propulsion Design Intern position to contribute to the Archimedes engine development. You will work with mentors to design and analyze components and subassemblies and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD program in Aerospace/Mechanical engineering, with at least one semester remaining, a GPA of 3.0+, and 3+ months of applied engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in Aerospace, Astronautical, Aeronautical or Mechanical engineering with at least one semester remaining after internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering knowledge to design and analyze Archimedes engine components.
• Work with mentors and cross-functional teams to deliver results.
• Attend regular 1:1s to track progress and learning.
