Job summary

Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, WI invites students to join the Engine and Vessel Calibration Internship. You will gain system-level problem solving experience with embedded control systems and engine calibration processes.

You'll assist engineers across base engine hardware, power, emissions, fuel economy, and calibration tasks, while developing teamwork and hands-on learning in a real production environment with 40-hour weeks and a strong emphasis on safety and growth.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BS program with a Mechanical Engineering major, sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
• Availability to work full-time (40+ hours per week) through the full term.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and self-motivation; able to work under general supervision.
• Clear written and verbal communication of technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in development of base engine hardware and calibrations for power, emissions, fuel economy, and part throttle combustion stability.
• Assist engineers with electrified propulsion calibration and system development.
• Assist engineers with vessel control calibration and system development.
• Learn to work in a team environment supporting all aspects of the product development cycle from concept to production.
