Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BS program with a major in Mechanical Engineering.
• minimum sophomore standing with 48 completed credits.
• Availability to work full-time (40+ hours/week) for a full summer internship May–Aug 2027.
• Creative ability with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Must enroll in a formalized co-op program through university.
• Dependable, self-motivated and engaged learner.

Responsibilities

• Support the mechanical design of engine systems and components.
• Assist with validation test plans and testing.
• Interface with cross-functional teams within Mercury Marine.
• Utilize CAD software/Creo to develop designs.
• Gain experience in dimensional stack-up, testing, data analysis, and failure investigations.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve issues.
