Job summary

The Propulsion Base Software Core Development Engineer role at Stellantis Financial Services focuses on embedded software for ICE propulsion control modules with GTM emphasis. You will analyze requirements, design, implement, and validate base software components in a real-time environment.

You will collaborate across teams and suppliers, participate in technical reviews, and ensure MISRA-C, ASPICE, and ISO 26262 standards are met while optimizing timing, memory usage, and deterministic behavior

Qualifications

• Bachelors in EE/CE/CS or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience with embedded C/C++ in RTOS environments.
• Experience with AUTOSAR Basic Software configuration (OS, MCAL, IOHWAB, FEE, WDG).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate embedded low-level driver software for ICE propulsion and electrified powertrain control modules, emphasizing GTM usage.
• Implement and optimize hardware interface drivers (SPI, I2C, UART, ADCs, timers, PWM) and driver circuits.
• Develop engine synchronization and position tracking algorithms (crank/cam, tooth detection, angle domain timing).
• Configure GTM-based timing and control for engine-critical applications (fuel injection, ignition timing, event scheduling).
• Contribute to MCAL integration and AUTOSAR base software development.
• Analyze requirements and translate into scalable, real-time designs.
• Hardware-software integration and debugging of engine-related sensors (crank/cam, SENT).
• Debug complex embedded issues with Lauterbach, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers; optimize real-time performance.
