Job summary

Stellantis in Michigan seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to drive base software for propulsion controls. You’ll cover the full SDLC from requirements through validation, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver embedded software for IC, hybrid, and EV systems.

The role emphasizes real-time embedded C/C++, AUTOSAR BSW configuration, MISRA-C compliance, and multi-core MCU expertise, with strong emphasis on safety and software quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• At least 5 years of embedded C/C++ in RTOS environments.
• 2+ years configuring Vector/ETAS AUTOSAR Basic Software modules.
• Experience with multicore microprocessors and automotive safety concepts (ISO 26262).
• Familiarity with MISRA-C and automotive software quality standards.
• Strong communication and adaptability in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded base software for propulsion control systems.
• Perform requirements analysis, architecture and detailed design.
• Write/optimize embedded C/C++ in RTOS environments.
• Create and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
• Conduct design and code reviews across requirements and tests.
• Apply verification/validation methods including white/black/gray box testing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers on requirements.
• Support virtualization strategies and data acquisition tooling.
• Utilize diagnostic tools for debugging and validation.
