Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Propulsion Assembly Technician II/III for A shift in Long Beach, CA to build sub-assemblies for the Rutherford engine, including thrust chamber, pumps, valves and plumbing.

The role supports the Propulsion Production team with deliverables for leadership and investors. It requires 2+ years (II) or 5+ years (III) in aerospace mechanical assembly and HS diploma; benefits are included. Hourly pay range is $25–$40 in CA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in aviation, aerospace, or similar industry.
• Talented with mechanical assembly tools (e.g.: pressure testing equipment and welding preparation).
• Talented with electrical assembly tools (e.g.: bench testing and measuring instruments).
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Build turbo pumps and rocket engines.
• Work on a high caliber cross functional team.
• Watch the hardware you build make fire and go to space.
