Job summary

UES is seeking a Proposal Specialist II to develop, edit, and produce high-quality proposals in response to client requests. You will own portions of proposal development, ensure clarity and brand alignment, and work with the Proposal Manager, business development, and technical teams to highlight the firm’s value proposition.

You will translate complex input into compelling content, manage outlines and schedules, and help refine boilerplate libraries for future bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Business or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in proposal writing or coordination.
• Ability to develop persuasive, technically accurate, and well-organized content.
• Proficiency with InDesign and Microsoft Office; experience with CRM/proposal systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex or multi-volume proposals and qualifications packages.
• Write, edit, and refine content across proposals for clarity and compliance.
• Translate technical input into clear, compelling content for diverse audiences.
• Interpret RFP/RFQ requirements and develop outlines, matrices, and production schedules.
• Collaborate with Proposal Manager and marketing to maintain boilerplate libraries and bios.
• Support proposal reviews, kickoff meetings, and lessons learned for process improvement.
