Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Proposal Writer to join its Proposal Development Team. You will write technical proposals for NASA, DoW, and other government clients, leveraging engineering background to craft credible, compelling content.

You will work under the Director of Proposal Development, drafting product descriptions and specifications, and collaborating with SMEs and designers to present content clearly and persuasively. This role rewards precision, deadlines, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; advanced degrees or relevant internships may substitute for experience.
• 2+ years of aerospace industry experience.
• Ability to read graphs, equations, units, and technical jargon.
• Experience writing technical proposals, white papers, or reports.
• Ability to convey technical topics through prose and graphics.
• Strong writing, grammar, flow, tone, and conciseness.

Responsibilities

• Develop technically credible, persuasive aerospace proposals for NASA, DoW, and other government and civilian customers.
• Draft original proposal content including product descriptions, specifications, and performance requirements.
• Interview subject matter experts to gather information and incorporate it into proposals.
• Review technical documentation and convert it into proposal content.
• Collaborate with graphic designers to visually represent technical content.
• Assemble, review, and edit proposals for accuracy and completeness, adhering to guidelines.
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve proposals.
• Manage document layout and formatting in Word, Acrobat, and related tools.
• Create and maintain templates and boilerplate copy for proposals.
• Develop and manage compliance checklists to ensure requirements are met.

Job Summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Proposal Writer to join its Proposal Development Team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of Proposal Development and be responsible for writing technical proposals for Astrobotic’s commercial spacecraft delivery services and spacecraft systems. This position is ideal for candidates with engineering or science backgrounds who are interested in flexing their creative skillset more.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work withina teamtodeveloptechnically credible, convincing, and competitive aerospace proposals for NASA, theDoW, and other governmentand civiliancustomers.
• Draft original content forproposals, including product descriptions, technical specifications, and performance requirements.
• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather technical information and incorporate it into proposals.
• Review technical documentation and convert it into polished and credible proposal content.
• Work with graphic designers to create compelling visual representations of technical content.
• Assemble, review, and edit proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to guidelines.
• Rework proposal content to address feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage document assembly, layout, and formatting using Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and related software programs.
• Create andmaintaindocument templates, boilerplate copy,finishedproposallibraries.
• Createand managecompliance checklists to ensure document requirements are being met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree inatechnical field, such as engineering, the physical sciences, orarelatedarea.Pursuit of relevant advanced degrees, relevant internships, or other relevant experiences may be considered in lieu of professional experience.
• 2+years of experience working in the aerospace industry or a relatedfield.
• Conversant in the language ofengineers and scientists (ability toreadgraphs, mathematical expressions, units,technical jargon,etc.)
• Prior experience writing technical proposals, white papers, or reports.
• The creativity tocommunicate technical topics throughbothprose and graphics.
• Strong criticalthinking skillstoidentifyandcorrecttechnical, logical,and other errors.
• Excellentwriting ability, including astrong command of grammar, flow, tone,and conciseness.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detailandexceptional organizational skills.
• Strong drive to deliver, improve, and succeed.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines for multiple overlapping projects.

DesiredSkills & Qualifications:

• Basicunderstanding of spacecraft systems and engineering principles.
• Prior experience writing competitive proposals for funding.
