Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Writer to join its Proposal Development Team. The successful candidate will write technical proposals for NASA, DoD, and civil customers, under the Director of Proposal Development.

This role suits those with engineering or science backgrounds who want to flex creative skills. The position involves drafting content, interviewing subject matter experts, and coordinating with graphic designers to produce credible proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical sciences, or related field.
• 2+ years in aerospace or related industry.
• Ability to read graphs, mathematical expressions, units, and technical jargon.
• Experience writing technical proposals, white papers, or reports.
• Ability to communicate technical topics through prose and graphics.

Responsibilities

• Develop technically credible, convincing aerospace proposals for NASA, DoD, and civilian customers.
• Draft original content for proposals, including product descriptions and performance requirements.
• Interview SMEs to gather technical information for proposals.
• Review technical docs and convert into polished proposal content.
• Collaborate with graphic designers for visual representations of content.
• Assemble, review, and edit proposals for accuracy and guidelines.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback and rework content accordingly.
• Manage document layout with Word, Acrobat, and related tools.
• Create and maintain proposal templates and libraries.

Job Summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Proposal Writer to join its Proposal Development Team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of Proposal Development and be responsible for writing technical proposals for Astrobotic’s commercial spacecraft delivery services and spacecraft systems. This position is ideal for candidates with engineering or science backgrounds who are interested in flexing their creative skillset more.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work withina teamtodeveloptechnically credible, convincing, and competitive aerospace proposals for NASA, theDoW, and other governmentand civiliancustomers.
• Draft original content forproposals, including product descriptions, technical specifications, and performance requirements.
• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather technical information and incorporate it into proposals.
• Review technical documentation and convert it into polished and credible proposal content.
• Work with graphic designers to create compelling visual representations of technical content.
• Assemble, review, and edit proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to guidelines.
• Rework proposal content to address feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage document assembly, layout, and formatting using Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and related software programs.
• Create andmaintain document templates, boilerplate copy, finishedproposallibraries.
• Createand managecompliance checklists to ensure document requirements are being met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree inatechnical field, such as engineering, the physical sciences, orarelatedarea.
• 2+years of experience working in the aerospace industry or a relatedfield.
• Conversant in the language ofengineers and scientists (ability toreadgraphs, mathematical expressions, units,technical jargon,etc.)
• Prior experience writing technical proposals, white papers, or reports.
• The creativity tocommunicate technical topics throughbothprose and graphics.
• Strong criticalthinking skillstoidentifyandcorrecttechnical, logical,and other errors.
• Excellentwriting ability, including astrong command of grammar, flow, tone,and conciseness.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detailandexceptional organizational skills.
• Strong drive to deliver, improve, and succeed.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines for multiple overlapping projects.

DesiredSkills & Qualifications:

• Basicunderstanding of spacecraft systems and engineering principles.
• Prior experience writing competitive proposals for funding.

The good faith base salary range $70,000 - $105,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
